This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the PrimeDNS Managed DNS service, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

We collect only data necessary to provide our services:
- Account data: username, email address, password (hashed), billing details (address, VAT number) — only if you register a domain or request an invoice
- DNS data: zone names, DNS records you configure
- Usage data: aggregated usage and query statistics related to your use of the Services (not tied to end-user identity), API key usage, login history
- Technical data: IP addresses for security and DNS record management purposes, browser type, access logs
- Payment data: transaction history, payment method (processed by third-party providers, e.g. SIBS), invoice data

- Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to provide the DNS management service you signed up for
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) — for invoicing and tax compliance
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — security monitoring, fraud prevention, service improvement
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for marketing communications, where applicable (you can opt out at any time)
4. Data Sharing
We use third-party payment processors (e.g. SIBS) who process payment data according to their own privacy policies. We may disclose data when required by law or to respond to valid legal requests from authorities. We do not sell your data, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking services.
5. Data Storage and Transfers
All data is currently stored and processed on servers located in the European Union. Where we ever use a service provider located outside the EU/EEA (for example, in connection with domain registration or certificate issuance), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as an EU Commission adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or an equivalent framework (e.g. the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+) for all data in transit.

- Account data: for the duration of your subscription plus 3 years after account deletion
- Financial/invoice records: 5 years (legal requirement under Polish tax law)
- Aggregated usage/query statistics: per plan's retention window, as shown in your account panel
- Server logs: up to 12 months

7. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to access your data, rectify inaccurate data, erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, receive your data in a portable format, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data: TLS encryption in transit, password and API key hashing, access controls and strong authentication mechanisms, regular security updates, and backup systems.

We use only essential and session cookies required for authentication and panel functionality. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics.
10. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you.

Our services are not directed at individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email and update the "Last updated" date above.
